Han travade genom vårarna,
 riden av ingen,
riden allenast
av egenviljan,
blott styrd, blott pressad
av godtyckets nakna,
 smidiga lår.

En hingst ur äventyren…
Och manen den blåste för vinden.

Nu ser vi honom
på fjället, uråldrig,
 skymtande i stallet,
 ännu med splittrade hoven
 retligt stampande
 - ett uråldrigt hästspöke,
ensamhetens patetiske krubbitare.

Probably a wise decision if you just want to blog. IT takes a while to figure Out Drupal. Work is being done on usability so keep an eye on developments. Goodluck blogging!!

Afrikaans with electric guitars! It’s obvious that the new generation would take this road. I’d just never thought of it. A lack of imagination on my part, I think. An international breakthrough is not on the cards however. Just think of Danish with 5 million speakers. You could tip the BBC’s “Late Junction” that the band exists. That’s a programme that specializes in world music, regardless of language. Or Charlie Gillet at the BBC World Service. He plays an extremely eclectic mix, including at one point lesbian bluegrass from the 1930s. If he likes it, he plays it. Well worth listening to.

Writing about a traumatic or troubling event is a “making strange” process. The event is thereby set outside the writer, who can the examine it and the feelings attached to it from a more dispassionate point of view. The writing can also reveal emotions that the writer was not aware of. Of course, as we are talking about people and their feelings, the opposite can also be true. Or not. Perhaps. All we can do is try it and see what happens. If anything does.
